During my senior year of college, I was a graphic design and marketing intern for Soundslinger, LLC., a music and event company based in Miami, FL. I helped put on Okeechobee Music Festival’s first year.
My primary role before the music festival was to assist the marketing manager and talent buyer in creating hype around the festival - reaching out to talent managers for content and potential attendees around Florida via social media. I also helped put on pre-shows before the festival.
When the music festival took place, I assisted the creative director with art installations around the festival grounds and take photographs of acts and attendees. You can see some of my photography from the festival below.
It was an overall great experience - we sold out before the show. The best part of it all was getting to photograph my favorite musician, Mac Miller.
